Russia launches 155 drones at Ukraine in overnight attack

On the night of June 8, Russia attacked Ukraine with 155 attack drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and Banderol types, as well as Parodiya decoy drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
The launches were carried out from several directions: Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied part of Crimea.
124 out of 155 destroyed or suppressed
The attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data as of 08:00 a.m., air defense forces destroyed or suppressed 124 enemy drones in the north, south, and east of the country.
Were there any hits?
According to the Air Force report, 20 attack drones reached their targets, with strikes recorded at 17 locations.
Debris from downed drones fell at six additional locations.
At the time of publication, the attack was ongoing, with about ten enemy drones still in the air.
On the previous morning, drones struck a residential district in Konotop in the Sumy region. One person remained trapped under the rubble of a damaged apartment building, while three others were admitted to intensive care. Half of the city was left without electricity.
