On Friday, June 19, a Russian drone struck a civilian vehicle in Kharkiv. The attack left one person dead and another injured, according to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Syniehubov.

According to Terekhov, an enemy drone hit a civilian car in the city's Kyivskyi district.

"According to preliminary information, the passenger of the car struck by the enemy drone was killed. The female driver was injured," he said.

Syniehubov noted that emergency services are currently working at the scene and efforts to deal with the aftermath of the attack are ongoing.

"As a result of the drone strike, a 48-year-old passenger was killed. The 38-year-old female driver sustained injuries and is receiving medical assistance," he clarified.

Attacks on Kharkiv

On June 15, Russian forces attacked a zoo in Kharkiv, injuring animals.

The Russian army also carried out a second strike on the city. During efforts to extinguish the fire and deal with the aftermath of the initial attack, five rescuers from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine were killed while working at the scene.

The day before, Kharkiv was also hit by a series of Russian attacks. Initial reports indicated that the Kharkiv Art Museum had come under fire, after which several people sought medical assistance due to acute stress reactions.

Later, authorities reported a strike on an industrial facility in the Kholodnohirskyi district.

RBC-Ukraine also reported that on the night of June 10, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with 26 drones. Five people were injured as a result of the strikes.
