On Friday morning, June 19, the Russians attacked Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs. As a result, buildings in one of the districts were damaged, and there were casualties, according to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, at 3:28 a.m. Kyiv time, Russian guided bombs were launched toward the Kharkiv region. Shortly thereafter, Terekhov reported that the Russian troops had carried out airstrikes on the Kholodnohirskyi district.

There were casualties as a result of the Russian attack, though the number and condition of the victims are still being determined. In addition, residential buildings and other structures in the area were damaged.

"As a result of the Russian guided aerial bomb strike, approximately 15 private residential buildings and a warehouse were damaged. A further inspection of the area adjacent to the Russian strike is underway," Terekhov writes.

At 5:32 a.m., the mayor of Kharkiv reported that 6 casualties were known, and damage to more than private homes has been recorded.

Russian strikes on Kharkiv

The Russians regularly attack Kharkiv with drones and aerial bombs. In particular, on the evening of June 14, Russians also struck the Kholodnohirskyi district. Later, authorities reported damage to a civilian enterprise.

On the same day, the Russians launched a drone strike on the Kharkiv Art Museum. Due to the threat of destruction to the exhibits, cultural artifacts were urgently evacuated.
