Russian drone hits apartment building in Odesa, casualties reported

On the evening of April 15, Russian forces launched attack drones at Ukraine, some of which were headed toward Odesa. Unfortunately, one UAV struck a residential high-rise building, according to Odesa Regional Military Administration head Oleh Kiper.
Strike on a residential building in Odesa
As a result of the enemy drone attack in Odesa, a residential high-rise building was damaged. The strike hit the upper floors, with apartments on the 5th to 7th floors affected. A fire broke out after the impact, engulfing part of the premises.
Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene and began dealing with the aftermath of the attack. The fire was contained, and efforts to fully extinguish it continued.
Consequences and updates
Information about casualties and the full extent of the damage is still being clarified. Emergency services are working at the scene, and the damaged building is being inspected.
Specialists are documenting the consequences of the attack and assessing the structural condition of the building to determine the level of damage and necessary safety measures for residents.

Head of the Odesa City Military Administration Serhii Lysak reported that four people were injured in the drone strike. An emergency response center was also established. Work at the scene is ongoing.

At 7:29 p.m., Odesa Regional Military Administration head Oleh Kiper added that in the Berezivka district, a drone strike damaged the roof of a private residential house.
A fire broke out near the house but was later extinguished by rescuers. No information about casualties has been reported so far.
Update as of 7:40 p.m.
Head of the Odesa City Military Administration Serhii Lysak reported that one of the injured has died. Medics did everything possible, but the injuries were incompatible with life. The number of injured has also risen to six.
On the night of April 14, Russian forces carried out a massive Shahed drone attack on the southern parts of the Odesa region, hitting port infrastructure and civilian facilities.
On the night of April 11, Russian forces also attacked Odesa, killing two people and injuring two others. The strike hit residential areas and caused significant damage to both urban and private buildings.
