Russian drone ‘gets lost’ in Belarus third time in week
On the morning of July 16, for the third time in the past week, a Russian Shahed entered the airspace of Belarus, according to the Telegram channel Belaruski Gayun.
The first reports of the violation of Belarusian airspace appeared around 4 AM.
According to the Telegram channel, the drone entered Belarus near the village of Bila Soroka in the Polesie Radiation and Ecological Reserve. After that, the UAV moved north, in the direction of Khoynyky. After he bypassed Bragin, he headed toward the town of Komarin.
"At 5 AM, the Shahed drone left Belarus and returned to the territory of Ukraine. In total, the kamikaze drone spent about 50 minutes on the territory of our country and flew at least 60 km," Gayun writes.
Belarus, in turn, did not fly aircraft in these areas.
Drones in Belarus
On the night of July 13, Russia attacked Ukraine with five kamikaze drones. Air defense managed to destroy four of them. The other one flew from Ukraine toward Belarus, in particular, in the direction of the Gomel region.
Another similar incident occurred on July 13, when a UAV flew all the way to Vitebsk.
