In the Kyiv region, an entire family of five, including three children, was injured due to an enemy attack involving strike drones. Civilian buildings and vehicles were also damaged, states Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

The official specified that the family was affected in the Boryspil district, which suffered a drone attack.

According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, the 17-year-old boy, the 3-year-old girls, and their 42-year-old mother are experiencing an acute stress reaction.

Additionally, he added that the 13-year-old son has a cut wound on his foot, and the 30-year-old man has a cut wound above his eyebrow.

The official noted that the victims are receiving medical assistance and, preliminarily, no hospitalization was required.

The head of the Regional Military Administration also said that due to falling debris from the downed target, a private house where the victims were located was damaged.

"Windows were shattered and the roof was damaged in the building. We are currently working on providing the family with temporary housing," his statement said.

Kalashnyk added that emergency services continue to document the aftermath of the enemy attack.

Attack by Shahed drones on the night of May 21

During the night, amid an enemy drone attack, air raid alerts were announced in several regions. In Sumy, a series of explosions were heard due to strikes by Shahed drones.

There were also reports of air defense operations in Kyiv and the surrounding region against enemy strike drones. Explosions were heard in the area near the capital as well.

In the morning, it became known that due to the Russian drone attack in some districts of Sumy, power outages occurred, industrial enterprises were damaged, and fires broke out. One person was reported injured.
