Russian drone attack on Ukraine: Number of UAVs downed
Russian forces launched 8 drones of the Shahed-131/136 type onto Ukraine overnight. The air defense system successfully shot down all targets, according to the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine.
During the night, the Southern Defense Forces shot down all 8 enemy drones of the Shahed-131/136 type, which the Russians directed towards the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions from the Black Sea.
"Seven UAVs, defenders of the sky from the Southern Air Command, a group of various forces from the Navy and Air Force, and other components of the Defense Forces, were destroyed in the Odesa region, and one more in the Mykolaiv region," said the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine..
The wreckage of the downed drone caused a fire in the Odesa region, which was promptly extinguished. No casualties reported.
