During the fire in Kharkiv, seven people, including three children, have died. Firefighters continue to extinguish the fire, according to the Telegram channels of the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, and Suspilne.

"At 06:50, seven people are confirmed dead in Kharkiv, including three children aged 7 and 4, as well as an infant," reported Chief of the Kharkiv Police Volodymyr Tymoshko.

Updated 07:55 a.m.: Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko announced that firefighters have managed to save 25 buildings from the spread of the fire.

"The State Emergency Service has successfully localized the fire in the residential quarter, saving 25 buildings from the spread of the fire. However, more than a dozen houses were completely burned down," Klymenko reported.

Night attack by the Russian army on Kharkiv

On the evening of February 9, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv using Shahed drones. The city residents experienced powerful explosions. Air forces reported the threat from drones.

The drones attacked a gas station in Kharkiv. Due to hits, fuel spilled. Fourteen buildings were burned down as a result.

According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, Kharkiv has recorded hits in the Nemyshlianskyi district, leading to damage to civilian infrastructure.
