Shahed drone strikes on Kharkiv: Russian forces targeted civilian infrastructure
Russian forces launched a series of drone kamikaze attacks of the Shahed type on Kharkiv and Velykyi Burluk late in the evening on February 9, according to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.
"In Kharkiv, hits have been recorded in the Nemyshlianskyi district. Civil infrastructure has been damaged. In Velykyi Burluk, occupiers also targeted a civilian object – a cafe," stated Syniehubov.
According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, information about casualties from the enemy attack is not currently available.
Enemy drone strikes in Ukraine
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that during the night of February 9, Russians launched 16 strike drones of the Shahed type against Ukraine. Air defense forces successfully intercepted and downed 10 drones in the Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Kharkiv regions.
In the Kharkiv region, strikes are reported. As a result of the assault, a hotel and restaurant were set ablaze, along with several vehicles. A security guard was injured and received medical assistance on-site. According to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, the region also experienced damage to private residences, a three-story recreation complex, and a dining facility due to other attacks.
Additionally, in the Mykolaiv region, an agricultural enterprise was targeted in the drone strike.
