Russia's night attack on Ukraine: Air defense downs 10 drones

Russian forces launched a nighttime drone attack on Ukraine today, February 9. Ukrainian air defense forces successfully intercepted and destroyed 10 Shahed drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
"On the night of February 9, 2024, the adversary struck with 16 Shahed-136/131 UAVs from Cape Chauda in Crimea and the Kursk region of the Russian Federation," the Ukrainian Air Force statement said.
It is reported that mobile air defense units of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces were deployed to repel the aerial attack.
As a result of the combat operations, 10 Shahed drones were neutralized within the territories of Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Kharkiv regions.
