Russian drone attack on Chernihiv leaves 20 injured, two children among them

Twenty people were injured, including two children, in a Russian drone strike on Chernihiv, according to Viacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration.
He said rescuers had already extinguished the fire caused by a Russian drone strike on a residential high-rise building in Chernihiv.
"Twenty people are now known to have been injured. Two of them are children, aged 12 and 17. A 17-year-old girl and an elderly woman were hospitalized. The woman is in serious condition. Another 18 people received medical assistance and are being treated as outpatients," Chaus said.
He added that police bomb disposal experts believe Russia attacked the city with a Geran-5 drone.
"Another cynical act by the Russians — launching a drone in broad daylight directly at the center of Chernihiv. Directly at people," the regional administration chief said.

He also thanked the emergency services for their prompt response following the attack, as well as medics and psychologists for helping residents.
Earlier today, Russian forces struck Chernihiv with a drone, hitting a residential high-rise in the city center.
Later, an RBC-Ukraine correspondent showed the extent of the damage to the building. The head of the Chernihiv regional police also provided further details about the Russian attack.
