Around 7:00 a.m. on December 20, Russian forces launched a combined missile strike on Kyiv, firing a total of eight missiles, Serhii Popko, Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, reports.

"Preliminary information indicates that the enemy used Kinzhal aero-ballistic missiles launched from MiG-31K jets and Iskander/KN-23 ballistic missiles," Popko stated.

According to the Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, debris from downed missiles was recorded in three city districts.

Holosiivskyi district

An office building, road surface, and gas pipeline were damaged, causing depressurization. Five cars caught fire. Preliminary reports indicate one killed and one injured victim. The information is being clarified.

At another location, the façade of an office building was damaged, leading to a fire on the roof and destruction on the fifteenth floor, where people may be trapped. Two individuals were hospitalized with injuries.

Solomianskyi district

Debris caused a fire in a non-residential building. The fire has been extinguished, and no casualties have been reported.

Shevchenkivskyi district

A fire broke out in a non-residential area. Further details are being clarified.

Information about the debris fall in the Dnipropetrovskyi district was not confirmed after the inspection.

Earlier, the Kyiv City State Administration published photos of the consequences of the missile strike on Kyiv on December 20.

The day before, Vladimir Putin said that he would like to strike Kyiv with a ballistic missile, which he calls Oreshnik, and see if Ukraine's air defenses can shoot down it.

In response, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called Putin a "dumb**s". "People are dying, and he thinks it's 'interesting'... Dumb**s," Zelenskyy wrote.
