Strike on Sumy

Russian forces struck the outskirts of Sumy around 05:30 PM Kyiv time. It quickly became known that the enemy used a ballistic missile for the attack. The specific type of missile has not yet been confirmed by official sources.

Initially, local authorities reported one child fatality. Later, they clarified that a young girl had died due to the Russian strike. Additionally, seven people were injured — one adult woman and six children.

Rescuers are continuing to work at the scene to eliminate the aftermath of the enemy attack.

It is worth noting that Russia regularly uses ballistic missiles to strike civilian infrastructure in Ukraine.

On April 13, it struck the center of Sumy. That attack resulted in the deaths of 35 people.
