Russian forces launched a double strike on a Naftogaz gas production facility in the Kharkiv region on the morning of July 6. The fields were shut down following the attacks, according to the Naftogaz Group.

Russian forces launched mass strikes on the company’s gas production facilities in the Kharkiv region following a combined overnight attack on Kyiv.

A fire broke out at one of the facilities. An employee was injured in the attack; he received first aid and was hospitalized.

Russian troops later launched a second strike. Naftogaz noted that the enemy was attempting to cause even greater destruction.

The attack is ongoing, and personnel remain in shelters. The full extent of the damage will be assessed once the air raid alert in the region is lifted.

Operations at the targeted facility have been suspended.

On July 4, Russian drones struck another Naftogaz gas production asset in Ukraine's Poltava region. The attack sparked a fire at the site and forced the facility to halt operations.

Earlier the same week, Russia also hit Ukrnafta's civilian facilities. Between July 2 and July 5, Russian forces struck a production facility in the Sumy region and three fuel stations in the Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, and Kharkiv regions.

The deadliest attack occurred in the Mykolaiv region, where a drone strike on a fuel station killed one person and injured two others.
