On the afternoon of Friday, January 3, the Russian army once again attacked Ukrainian territory with strike drones. This time, air defense targeted enemy drones in the Kyiv region, according to the Telegram channel of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

According to the report, the enemy attacked Kyiv region with drones throughout the day. As a result of air defense operations, enemy targets were downed, with debris falling in open areas. No strikes on residential or critical infrastructure have been reported.

However, one injury has been confirmed — a man born in 1953 sustained a shrapnel wound to his back. He has been hospitalized for medical treatment.

Shelling of Ukraine

Earlier today, air raid alerts were repeatedly announced in several regions of Ukraine. The Air Force warned of the threat of ballistic missile strikes.

During one such alert, the Russian army launched a missile strike on the city of Chernihiv, where one fatality and multiple injuries have already been reported.

Prior to this, enemy drones also attacked Ukraine's capital, Kyiv. As a result of air defense efforts, UAV debris fell in the Holosiivskyi and Darnytskyi districts.
