Russia attacked Kyiv with strike drones overnight on January 3. Debris was reported in two districts of the capital, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration and Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

"As a result of the enemy attack, debris was reportedly found in the Holosiivskyi district. All services are heading to the scene," wrote the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, at 5:37 AM Kyiv time.

He also added that air raid alerts are still in effect in the city, urging residents to stay in shelters.

A few minutes later, Klitschko confirmed the reports of debris falling but stated that no fire had occurred.

"Services are inspecting the area," he added.

"In the Darnytskyi district, a fire broke out in a private home due to falling debris. Firefighters have extinguished the fire. Information about any casualties is being confirmed," wrote Tkachenko at 5:53 AM.

At 6:28 AM, Klitschko reported that there were no casualties in the Darnytskyi and Holosiivskyi districts of Kyiv, where drone debris had fallen.
