Russian attack on Kyiv aftermath: High-rise building on fire, casualties reported
A high-rise building in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv is on fire due to the morning Russian strike on February 7, and there are victims. A service station and cars also caught fire, according to Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko.
"Preliminary, there is a fire in an apartment building in Holosiivskyi district. A fire and rescue unit is on its way," Klitschko says.
In addition, cars and service stations are burning in the area.
"All services are at the scene. There have been no calls for medical assistance," the mayor adds.
Victim
Later, the Kyiv City Military Administration added that, according to preliminary information, one person was injured in the Holosiivskyi district.
"Damage to the power grid was recorded. The information is being updated," the Administration adds.
The victim was hospitalized by medics from a high-rise building where a fire broke out as a result of a Russian attack.
Casualties grow
At 8:44 a.m., Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko reported three injured in the Holosiivskyi district.
"Three people have been hospitalized in Holosiivskyi district. Doctors are working near the house where the fire started as a result of an enemy attack," he writes.
