Russian attack on Kryvyi Rih: Shopping center and buildings damaged, people under rubble
The explosions in Kryvyi Rih on January 8 resulted from Russian strikes on a shopping center and residential buildings in the city and Kryvyi Rih district. People were trapped under the rubble, according to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, and the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, Oleksii Kuleba.
Russians killed one person in Kryvyi Rih district
A private house was destroyed in Kryvyi Rih district, and one person was killed.
"The consequences of the attack are being eliminated in the Lozuvata community of Kryvyi Rih district. There was also an "arrival" there. A 62-year-old woman was killed. A private house was destroyed," says Serhii Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
People under the rubble and a wounded man in Kryvyi Rih
A shopping center and more than two dozen private houses were damaged in the city.
"A 58-year-old man received shrapnel wounds. He is in a satisfactory condition," says the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
In addition, according to Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, a private house was destroyed in Kryvyi Rih.
"Three people may be under the rubble. A shopping and entertainment center was destroyed," he adds.
On the morning of January 8, an air alert was declared in Ukraine. The Ukrainian Air Force reported the takeoff of the Russian MiG-31K. Within minutes, the entire map turned red. Explosions were heard in Dnipro, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia, and air defense was operating in the Khmelnytskyi region. Kryvyi Rih came under a massive Russian missile attack. In addition, a blast wave overturned a minibus in Novomoskovsk, leaving many wounded, including children.
On the night of January 8, the Russian occupiers also attacked Ukraine with kamikaze drones. In particular, Ukrainian air defense managed to destroy all the drones, seven of which were shot down in the sky over the Odesa region.
