Russian attack on Dnipro and region: Another child dies in hospital from severe injuries
Another child injured during the massive Russian military attack on Dnipro and the region on April 19 has died in hospital, according to the Prosecutor General's Office and the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak.
"A child who was seriously injured during a massive enemy attack on the Dnipro region today died in hospital," the Prosecutor General's Office says in a statement.
The death toll has now risen to 9, including three children.
According to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, three children died in the Synelnykove district.
"A 14-year-old girl and two boys, aged 6 and 8, for a total of six people. Six more were injured," notes Lysak.
Russian shelling of Ukraine
Russian troops shelled Ukraine on the night of April 19, using 36 missiles and drones, with air defense systems managing to shoot down Russian 14 drones and 15 missiles, including the first destruction of Kh-22 missiles and the downing of a Tu-22M3 bomber.
The main strike was targeted at Dnipro and the region. In particular, 16 wounded and two dead have been reported in Dnipro. Kryvyi Rih was also attacked, where three people were injured, and Synelnykove district of Dnipropetrovsk region, where three children were killed.
The Russians also attacked the Odesa region with missiles and drones, targeting infrastructure. Fortunately, no one was injured. Read more about the consequences of the Russian attack in RBC-Ukraine's report.
