Russian army used new aviation bombs during the shelling of Myrnohrad in the Donetsk region. Presumably, these are improved types of guided aerial bombs, according to the spokesman for the Tavria Defense Forces, Dmytro Lykhoviy.

"The initial information was that the enemy used the S-300 surface-to-air missile system, but according to clarified information received from the National Police, for this shelling, the Russians used three units of glide aerial bombs UMPB D-30SN," he said.

The spokesman adds that the use of these bombs indicates a new stage in the development of Russian guided aerial bombs. He explains that these new enemy bombs are likely cluster bombs.

"This is an improved aerial bomb, which is already replacing these classic old FABs, transformed into KABs (guided aerial bombs), they have additional gliding functions and additional power installations. Therefore, unfortunately, we need to prepare for new challenges and new tasks for air defense in dealing with these improved aerial bombs," the spokesman said.
