In July, Ukrainian forces recorded significant Russian losses in manpower, armored vehicles, artillery and military vehicles, according to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Last month, Russia’s personnel losses reached 42,860 troops. This was the highest monthly figure since January 2025.

Thus, July became the fourth most successful month for Ukraine’s Defense Forces throughout the full-scale war in terms of Russian personnel losses.

Overall, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russian army personnel losses have reached 1,461,660, according to Ukraine’s General Staff.

Russia lost a record number of military vehicles

In July, Ukrainian forces also actively targeted Russian logistics and air defense systems.

Over the month, the Defense Forces hit 68 Russian air defense systems.

A record figure was also set for military vehicles. Ukrainian forces destroyed or disabled 13,998 units.

Significant Russian army losses also marked the previous month. In June, Ukrainian defenders destroyed or disabled more than 2,000 Russian artillery systems.

How many tanks did Russia lose?

In July, Ukraine’s Defense Forces hit 162 Russian tanks. In particular, 28 tanks were destroyed or damaged on July 22.

In addition, Ukrainian forces destroyed or damaged 204 armored combat vehicles and 2,016 artillery systems of the Russian army.

According to Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of 2026, the Defense Forces have neutralized more than 260,000 Russian fixed-wing and copter-type drones.

About 195,000 of them were fixed-wing UAVs, while another roughly 66,000 were copter-type drones.
