        On October 29, Russian forces struck a TV tower in the central part of Chernihiv, causing damage to the structure, according to the press service of the Chernihiv City Council.
"As a result of the Russian military strike on the TV tower in central Chernihiv (carried out on October 29, 2025), the structure was damaged," the statement said.
To prevent possible emergencies and ensure the safety of residents, stabilization work on the structure will be carried out in the near future.
Residents are asked not to approach the TV tower and to stay at least 200 meters away from it.
Suspilne also reported that smoke is rising in the area around the tower.

October 29 attacks on Ukraine
On the night of October 29, Russia carried out another massive drone attack on civilian infrastructure in the Odesa region, and in the morning, a Shahed drone struck the center of Chernihiv.
In Odesa, a DTEK energy facility was damaged, and an employee was injured. Nearly 30,000 homes were left without power as a result of the enemy attack.
In Chernihiv, Russian forces targeted critical infrastructure. No residents were reported injured in the strike.
