Russian army pays high price for attempts to advance in Pokrovsk direction - General Staff
Since the beginning of the day, there have been 128 combat engagements on the front line. The enemy's most intense attacks are occurring in the Pokrovsk direction. Russian forces have assaulted Defense positions 40 times, resulting in the loss of 274 personnel, according to Ukrainian General Staff.
The General Staff asserts that the situation on the front line remains challenging but under control. Defense forces continue to actively combat the aggressor's offensive plans, targeting and eliminating personnel and equipment.
In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces attempted six assaults on defensive positions near Vovchansk, Starytsia, and Lyptsi. The situation is under the control of our troops. Currently, our forces have neutralized 44 Russian soldiers, three artillery systems, a combat armored vehicle, ten units of automotive equipment, and 20 drones in this sector. Additionally, the enemy suffered 78 military personnel wounded, and one of their air defense systems, two artillery systems, and four units of special and automotive equipment were damaged.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked our positions ten times. Five assault attempts near the settlements of Berestove and Pishchane were successfully repelled. Near Synkivka, four skirmishes are ongoing, with another attack near Berestove in progress.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces made 16 assault attempts near Hrekivka, Nevske, Makiivka, and Terni. Three attacks are continuing in the Makiivka area. The situation is under control.
In the Siversk direction, the Russian army conducted five assault operations in the areas of Bilo-Horivka, Verkhniokamianske, Vyimka, and Rozdolivka. All enemy attempts were unsuccessful.
In the Kramatorsk direction, our forces halted five enemy attacks near Chasiv Yar, Hryhorivka, and Andriivka. Two skirmishes are still ongoing.
In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces attempted 14 times to penetrate our defensive lines near the settlements of Pivnichne, Pivdenne, and New York. Eleven attacks were repelled, with three still ongoing. Preliminary estimates indicate enemy losses of over 60 personnel and two artillery systems.
The enemy is most intensively attacking in the Pokrovsk direction. Since the beginning of the day, there have been 40 Russian assault actions here. The defense continues to repel seven attacks near the settlements of Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Novoselivka Persha, and Yevhenivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces are paying a heavy price for their attempts to advance. Enemy losses since the beginning of the day include 99 killed in action and 175 wounded. Two howitzers, a mortar, and eight units of automotive equipment have been destroyed. Among the damaged enemy equipment are two 2A65 Msta-B howitzers, two 120-mm mortars, a combat armored vehicle, and two units of automotive equipment.
In the Kurakhove direction, Russian forces attempted 11 times to advance in the areas near the settlements of Netailove, Kostiantynivka, Krasnohorivka, and Paraskevivka, all without success. Two combat clashes are ongoing near Netailove.
In the Vremivka direction, there were nine enemy attacks in the areas near Vodiane and Urozhaine. Five enemy assaults are still ongoing, but the defense forces maintain control of the situation.
In the Huliaipole direction, our troops repelled four enemy attacks towards Hulyaipole. Three of these have concluded, while one is still ongoing.
In the Orikhiv direction, three attempts by the enemy to advance near Mala Tokmachka and Novoandrivka were unsuccessful.
Ukraine expects positive news regarding the supply of air defense systems, including the Patriot, at the NATO summit in Washington.
