Russian airstrike on Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia leaves 20 injured, rescue work ends

On Sunday evening, August 10, Zaporizhzhia was hit by aerial bombs. The attack injured about 20 people, reports the State Emergency Service of Zaporizhzhia.
"As of 10:00 PM Kyiv time, emergency rescue operations at the strike site were completed. Restoration work by the city's utilities continues," the statement said.
Rescuers said 20 people were injured. They freed one person trapped under rubble. The number of injured is still being confirmed.

"Psychologists from the State Emergency Service assisted 15 citizens. Relevant emergency and municipal services were working at the scene. A total of 44 rescuers and 15 vehicles from the State Emergency Service were involved in dealing with the aftermath," the statement added.

Around 6:00 PM Kyiv time, Russian forces struck Zaporizhzhia. Regional Military Administration Head Ivan Fedorov said two guided aerial bombs hit the city.
One strike damaged the Central Bus Station heavily. Another hit a clinic at Zaporizhzhia Medical University.
Fedorov also shared a video showing the moment of impact.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded, saying Russia continues to take lives along the entire front line.
