On the night of June 5, Russian forces carried out an airstrike on the center of Kherson. One person was injured, the Kherson City Military Administration (Kherson City Council) reports.

In particular, a 74-year-old man was injured due to the airstrike by Russian forces in downtown Kherson. This happened due to the shelling involving explosive devices.

The injured man was hospitalized at a local hospital with a blast injury. Doctors are currently conducting additional examinations to assess his condition and provide the necessary medical assistance.

Reports also indicate that a building of one of the departments of the Kherson City Council was damaged in the Russian airstrike. Eight windows in the office rooms were blown out.

Authorities and emergency services continue to work at the scene, and an investigation into the causes and consequences of the airstrike is ongoing.

Previous Russian attacks on Kherson region

On June 4, 2025, Russian forces once again shelled populated areas of the Kherson region. According to the investigation, the attacks involved drones, artillery, MLRS, and mortars.

In the morning, drones struck the village of Antonivka. A 49-year-old man was killed in the attack. Three more people - a 57-year-old man, a 78-year-old man, and a 53-year-old woman - sustained shrapnel injuries.

In Kherson itself, residential buildings were damaged in an artillery shelling. A 75-year-old woman and a 53-year-old man were injured. In addition, in the village of Veletenske, the enemy dropped explosives from a drone. A 70-year-old local man was killed, and an 83-year-old woman was wounded. Prosecutors and investigators continue to document the crimes committed by the Russian army against the civilian population.

On the night of June 5, the enemy attacked the city of Pryluky in the Chernihiv region. Rescuers found the bodies of two women and a child under the rubble. There is also information about six people injured.

Furthermore, Russian forces launched Shahed drone strikes on Kharkiv. Direct hits were recorded on two residential apartment buildings in the Slobidskyi district. At this time, 17 people have been reported injured.
