'Russia will not prevail': Biden vows US support for Ukraine will continue
Russia will not prevail in the war. The United States will continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine, stated US President Joe Biden before his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to The Guardian.
Biden thanked Zelenskyy for sharing his plan for Ukraine's victory in the war with Russia.
During the meeting, the leaders also discussed military funding and long-term support for Ukraine.
“We stand with Ukraine now and in the future … Let me be clear. Russia will not prevail in war," Biden emphasized.
Assistance to Ukraine from the United States
Today it was reported that the United States has allocated a new military aid package for Ukraine worth $375 million. The weapons will be provided from US stockpiles.
The package includes, among other things, JSOW bombs, HIMARS shells, and artillery ammunition.
Later, the Pentagon and the White House announced that the United States would provide Ukraine with $2.4 billion worth of weapons. It is part of a new military aid package.
Earlier today, President Zelenskyy and Joe Biden met at the White House. During the talks, the Ukrainian leader presented the details of his plan to win the war with Russia.
