Russia launched several waves of jet drone attacks on Kyiv on September 27. Latest data say five people are injured.
RBC-Ukraine tells what is known about the aftermath of the Russian aerial assault on the capital.
Around 1 a.m., Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that a drone struck a warehouse in the Solomianskyi district, sparking a fire. Emergency services immediately responded.
At 9:27 a.m., the mayor said that a Russian drone had crashed into a non-residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district.
"Three people were injured in the Shevchenkivskyi district. Medics are examining them and providing assistance," Klitschko later clarified.
He said those injured in the Shevchenkivskyi district included a woman and two 16-year-old children. They were immediately hospitalized.
At 12:02 p.m., Klitschko reported that the number of injured had risen to four.
At 4:10 p.m., he confirmed that a drone had struck an administrative building in the Holosiivskyi district.
An hour later, it became known that in the Darnytskyi district, a drone targeted a nine-story residential building, striking it at the level of the fourth and fifth floors.
"The fire that broke out on the fifth and ninth floors of a residential building in the Darnytskyi district, which was hit by a UAV, has been extinguished. Medics provided assistance to one injured woman at the scene," the mayor clarified.
At around 6 p.m., Klitschko wrote that cars were on fire in the Solomianskyi district after debris from a Russian drone fell.
Fifteen minutes later, it became known that UAV debris had fallen in a park in the Holosiivskyi district. In another location, the falling debris caused a fire in an open area. Cars also caught fire at another address in Holosiivskyi district.
In the Darnytskyi district, drone debris fell on the grounds of a kindergarten.
"UAV debris was found near a playground in the Holosiivskyi district. In the Darnytskyi district, a fire at a non-residential site has been contained," Klitschko reported at 6:48 p.m.
Earlier on September 27, Russian forces dropped a guided aerial bomb on a children's home in Sumy, killing and injuring civilians.
As previously reported, Russians also targeted the Darnytsia pharmaceutical plant in Kyiv.
