Russia uses civilians to equip fortifications in Crimea - Partisans
Russia is using civilians to construct fortifications in Crimea. Notably, the number of occupiers involved in the work in Sevastopol has significantly decreased, according to the partisan movement ATESH.
"An agent was able to track the route of forklifts being transported by KamAZ trucks along the Balaklava Highway towards the Kozacha Bay," the report said.
The partisans managed to determine the locations where the Russian Armed Forces, specifically the 810th Marine Brigade in Sevastopol, continue to construct fortifications, but now increasingly rely on civilians operating specialized equipment.
"Amid a shortage of personnel on the front lines, the number of soldiers previously involved in the construction has significantly decreased," ATESH said.
About 810th Russian brigade
On November 19, 2023, during Russia's Rocket and Artillery Forces Day, Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the location of Russia’s 810th Marine Brigade in the Kherson region. This happened during an award ceremony for the invaders responsible for killings in Ukraine.
In June, partisans obtained documents from the occupiers of the 810th brigade in Crimea. It was recently revealed that the Russians are transferring equipment from the Kherson direction to the Kursk region, with this brigade playing a role in that movement.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Russian military academy cadets were sent to the Kherson region "to gain combat experience."
