War crimes of Russia
The Russian Federation has committed numerous war crimes during its full-scale war against Ukraine. Among the most heinous crimes are the mass killings of civilians in Bucha, Izium, Mariupol, and other cities; deliberate strikes on residential areas, hospitals, and schools; as well as torture and abductions of civilians. Systematic actions by the occupying forces include missile attacks on critical infrastructure, the use of prohibited weapons, and the establishment of filtration camps.
As reported by the General Staff, in December 2024 alone, the army of the aggressor state carried out more than 400 attacks using special munitions equipped with toxic chemical substances.
