Russia-Ukraine war: Situation on the front as of March 4

Ukrainian defenders repelled over 20 attacks by Russian occupiers near Avdiivka and struck a number of areas where enemy soldiers were concentrated, according to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
Overall, the enemy conducted 5 missile strikes and 44 airstrikes, launching 68 rocket artillery attacks on the positions of our troops and civilian areas.
As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are civilian casualties. Multistory and private houses, as well as other infrastructure objects, have been destroyed and damaged.
Situation on separate fronts
On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the operational situation remains unchanged. There are no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups.
On the Siversk and Slobozhanske fronts, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells civilian settlements from Russian territory, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the Ukrainian state border.
The enemy launched aviation strikes in the areas of civilian settlements Chuikivka in the Sumy region and Lyptsi, Varvariivka, Nesterne, and Kolodiazhne in the Kharkiv region. Artillery and mortar shelling by occupiers affected around 30 settlements.
On the Kupiansk front, the enemy attacked our defenders' positions six times in the area of the village of Synkivka in the Kharkiv region.
The enemy conducted aviation strikes in the areas of civilian settlements Kyslivka in the Kharkiv region and Tverdokhlibove and Novoiehorivka in the Luhansk region. Over 10 settlements were subjected to artillery and mortar fire.
On the Lyman front, our troops repelled 1 enemy attack in the area of the village of Terny in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, supported by aviation, attempted to break through our troops' defense.
Approximately 20 settlements suffered from artillery and mortar shelling.
On the Bakhmut front, the defense forces repelled 3 enemy attacks in the area of the village of Andriivka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy attempted to improve its tactical position.
The enemy conducted aviation strikes in the areas of civilian settlements New York and Druzhba in the Donetsk region. Over 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.
On the Avdiivka front, our defenders repelled 21 enemy attacks in the areas of civilian settlements Novoselivka, Berdychivka, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.
The enemy conducted aviation strikes in the areas of civilian settlements Semenivka, Netaylove, and Kalynove in the Donetsk region. Approximately 20 settlements were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
On the Novopavlivka front, the defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Hеorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, Vodiyane, Prechystivka, and Urozhaine in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, supported by aviation, attempted to break through our troops' defense 16 times.
The enemy conducted an aviation strike in the area of the village of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region. Over 20 settlements were under artillery and mortar fire.
On the Orihiv front, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations. However, the enemy conducted aviation strikes in the areas of four settlements.
Approximately 20 settlements were subjected to artillery and mortar fire.
On the Kherson front, the enemy persists in its intention to dislodge our units from bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River, despite significant losses.
During the day, the enemy conducted two unsuccessful assault actions. Over 20 settlements were subjected to artillery and mortar fire.
Ukrainian Armed Forces attacks
During the day, the defense forces' aviation conducted strikes on 8 areas of personnel concentration and 1 ground control station for enemy UAVs. Additionally, one Kh-59 guided aviation missile was destroyed by Ukrainian air defense forces.
Rocket troops units inflicted damage on 1 area of personnel concentration, 1 air defense asset, and 6 enemy artillery systems.
Earlier it became known that Ukrainian defenders eliminated 1150 enemy soldiers during the past day.
