Russia-Ukraine war: Situation on the front as of November 19

Ukrainian military forces are holding positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region. At the same time, they continue to inflict fire damage on Russian invaders, according to the data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
During the past day, there were 45 combat clashes. The enemy carried out 16 air strikes and conducted 41 rocket artillery attacks on the positions of Ukrainian forces and civilian settlements.
Additionally, the adversary attacked critical infrastructure objects of Ukraine using the Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs. As a result of the air defense forces' actions, 15 out of 20 Shaheds were destroyed.
Russian terrorist attacks have caused injuries among the civilian population. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have suffered destruction and damage.
Frontline situation
The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains unchanged without significant alterations. There are no signs of the formation of offensive groupings. Identified units of the armed forces of Belarus are performing tasks in border areas with Ukraine.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the adversary maintains military presence in border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shell settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border of Ukraine.
Approximately 20 settlements, including Yanzhulivka, Mykhalchyna Sloboda, Leonivka in the Chernihiv region; Khodyne, Holyshivske, Basivka, Myropilske, Novodmytrivka in the Sumy region; Kozacha Lopan, Vovchansk, Bochkove, Budarky in the Kharkiv region, experienced artillery and mortar shelling from the enemy.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy unsuccessfully conducted assault operations in the areas of Synkivka, east of Petropavlivka, and Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region, where Defense Forces repelled 7 attacks. An aviation strike was delivered near Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region. Over 10 settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, and Berestove in the Kharkiv region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy did not engage in offensive (assault) actions. They delivered aviation strikes in the areas of Serebrianske Forestry in the Luhansk region and Yampolivka in the Donetsk region. About 10 settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Torske, Serebrianka, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, and Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region, suffered from enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy conducted assault actions near Klishchiivka and Andriivka in the Donetsk region, where our soldiers repelled 11 attacks. Over 10 settlements, including Markove, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, and New York in the Donetsk region, came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault actions south of Novokalynove, east of Novobakhmutivka, Severne, and Avdiivka in the Donetsk region, where the Defense Forces repelled 9 attacks. Over 15 settlements, including Sukha Balka, Keramik, Tonenke, Yasnobrodivka, Netailove, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region, came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Maryinka direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault actions in the areas of Maryinka and Pobeda in the Donetsk region, where the Defense Forces repelled 13 attacks. The settlements of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, Pobeda, and Novomykhailivka came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault actions west of Staromykhailivka in the Donetsk region. Approximately 10 populated areas, including Vodyane, Bohoyavlenske, Prechystivka, Blahodatne, Staromykhailivka, and Rivnopil, came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the invaders did not conduct offensive (assault) actions. However, more than 20 populated areas, including Levadne, Malynivka, Charyvne, Orikhiv, Novoandriivka, and Stepove in the Zaporizhzhia region, were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy conducted artillery shelling on Kherson, Tyahynka, Ivanivka, and Tokarivka in the Kherson region, as well as Ochakiv in the Mykolaiv region.
Advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The Ukrainian defense forces continue their offensive operation on the Melitopol direction and conduct offensive (assault) actions on the Bakhmut direction. Ukrainian military inflict losses on the occupying forces in personnel and equipment, wearing down the enemy along the entire front line.
The defense forces continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region, continuing to inflict firepower on the enemy.
Russian losses
During the day, the Air Defense Forces conducted two strikes on areas with concentrations of enemy personnel.
Missile units targeted areas with concentrations of enemy personnel, weaponry, military equipment, and three ammunition depots of the enemy.
