Ukrainian military forces continue their advance in the Melitopol direction, according to the General Staff of Ukraine.
Enemy attacks
Over the past 24 hours, there have been 68 clashes in the region. In total, the enemy carried out 4 missile strikes and 33 airstrikes, as well as 24 artillery shelling attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas.
Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in casualties and injuries among the civilian population. Private residential houses, apartment buildings, and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged and destroyed.
The frontline situation
The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains challenging.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation is relatively stable, with no significant changes. There are no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups. Identified units of the Belarusian armed forces continue to carry out tasks in border areas with Ukraine.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, continues shelling of populated areas from Russian territory, and increases the density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border of Ukraine.
Approximately 10 populated areas, including Starikove and Bilopillia in the Sumy region, as well as Hatysche and Budarky in the Kharkiv region, were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled over 10 enemy attacks in the areas of Synkivka, Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region, and Nadiya in the Luhansk region. About 10 populated areas, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, and Pishchane in the Kharkiv region, were hit by artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces repelled about 10 enemy attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, Serebriansky Forest, and Spirne in the Donetsk region. Meanwhile, approximately 15 populated areas, including Nevskе, Makiivka, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region, and Torske, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region, were affected by artillery and mortar fire.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled all enemy attacks in the areas of Vasyukivka and Andriivka in the Donetsk region. The enemy conducted airstrikes near Klishchiivka and New York in the Donetsk region. Over 10 populated areas, including Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region, were under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful storming actions with aviation support in the areas of populated places such as Avdiivka, Keramik, Stepove, Tonenke, and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian defenders repelled around 15 enemy attacks in this area. Additionally, the enemy conducted aviation strikes near Novobakhmutivka and Novokalynove in the Donetsk region.
The enemy shelled with artillery and mortars in more than 15 populated areas, including Novokalynove, Stepove, Severne, and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region.
In the Maryinka direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault actions in the areas of Maryinka, Krasnohorivka, and Pobeda in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian forces repelled over 20 enemy attacks in this area. Additionally, the enemy carried out an aviation strike near Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region.
Approximately 10 populated areas, including Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Pobeda, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, came under artillery and mortar fire from the occupiers.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled all enemy attacks in the areas of Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, and Staramayorske in the Donetsk region. The enemy carried out an aviation strike near Staramayorske in the Donetsk region. Approximately 10 populated areas, including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, and Urozhaine in the Donetsk region, were subjected to artillery and mortar fire.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Ukrainian forces thwarted an enemy attack north of Pryiutne in the Zaporizhzhia region. The enemy conducted aviation strikes near Mala Tokmachka and Novodanilivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. About 20 populated areas, including Poltavka, Malynivka, Chervone, Mala Tokmachka, and Novodanilivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Kherson direction, occupiers conducted aviation strikes in the areas of populated localities such as Burgunka, Mykolaivka, Tyahynka, and Ivanivka in the Kherson region. Sadove and Stanislav in the Kherson region, as well as the city of Kherson, were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar fire.
Counteroffensive by Ukrainian Armed Forces
The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, engage in assault actions in the Bahmut direction, inflict losses on the occupying forces in personnel and equipment, and wear down the enemy along the entire front line.
Enemy losses
During the day, the air force of the Defense Forces carried out 12 strikes on areas with concentrations of enemy personnel, weaponry, and military equipment.
Rocket troops units damaged five artillery systems, a radar station, an ammunition depot, an anti-aircraft missile complex, and two areas with concentrations of enemy personnel, weaponry, and military equipment.
