Russian troops launched 26 missiles and nearly 600 drones at Ukraine overnight on July 12, more than half of which were Shaheds, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, stated.

"This night, Russia struck from the Kharkiv region and the Sumy region to the Lviv region and the Bukovina. There were 26 cruise missiles and 597 drones, more than half of them were Shaheds. More than 20 missiles and the majority of the attack drones were neutralized. Thanks to our air defense forces for the result," stated Zelenskyy.

According to him, there were strikes on civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings. As of now, it is known that about 2 dead people are in Chernivtsi. About 20 more wounded people are receiving all the necessary assistance due to the shelling.

"Russia’s pace of air strikes requires swift decisions, and it can be disrupted by sanctions right now. Tough secondary sanctions are needed against everyone who helps Russia produce drones and profit from oil. More air defense and investment in interceptor drones are needed, which are already showing good results," added the President of Ukraine.

Thus, in Chernivtsi, debris from enemy objects caused large-scale fires, administrative buildings, residential buildings, shops, and cars were destroyed. The death of two people has been confirmed – a 26-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man. In the Storozhynets community, damage to housing and cars was recorded, but there were no casualties.

In Lviv, a drone hit a residential building, destroyed the entrance, caused a gas leak and a roof fire. Other buildings in the Zaliznychnyi district were also damaged, including a kindergarten.

In Lutsk, explosions and a large-scale fire were also recorded, which completely destroyed a private house. All the consequences of the attack are currently being eliminated by rescue services.
