Russia-Ukraine war: Situation on the front as of October 14

The Defense Forces continue to repel attacks by Russian occupiers. Moreover, they prevented the invaders from regaining their lost position in the vicinity of Robotyne, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russians' attacks
During the day, there were 43 military clashes. The enemy conducted two missile strikes and 37 airstrikes, as well as 47 artillery shelling attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas.
As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, there have been casualties and injuries among the civilian population, along with destruction and damage to private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure.
The frontline situation
The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains complex.
In the Volyn and Polissya directions, there have been no significant changes in the operational situation. There are no signs of the formation of attacking groups. Identified units of the Belarusian armed forces are fulfilling their tasks in border areas with Ukraine.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, continues shelling populated areas from Russian territory, and increases the density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border of Ukraine.
Artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy targeted over 15 populated areas, including Karpovychi, Zalizny Mist, Hremiach in the Chernihiv region; Iskriskivschyna, Volfyne, Mohrytsya, Stepok, Pokrovka, Slavhorod in the Sumy region.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled five enemy attacks in the areas of Synkivka and Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region. Additionally, the enemy conducted aerial strikes near Holubivka, Kupiansk, Petropavlivka, and Podoliv in the Kharkiv region. Over 10 populated areas, including Synkivka, Kucherivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, and Berestove in the Kharkiv region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted aerial strikes in the areas of Bilohorivka, Serebrianske Forestry in the Luhansk region, and Spirne in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian Defense Forces also repelled 5 enemy attacks near Makiivka in the Luhansk region and Torske in the Donetsk region.
Around 10 populated areas, including Nevske, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Novosadove, Torske, Verkhniokamianske, and Spirne in the Donetsk region, suffered from artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Bakhmut direction, the invaders carried out aerial strikes in the areas of Klishchiivka and Oleksandro-Shultyne in the Donetsk region. Over 10 populated areas, including Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Bila Hora, Kurdiumivka, and New York in the Donetsk region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders valiantly held their ground, repelling eight enemy attacks in the vicinity of Avdiivka and seven more attacks near Tonenke and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region. The occupiers conducted aerial strikes in the areas of the settlements Keramik, Ocheretyne, Lastochkyne, and Avdiivka. Approximately 15 populated areas, including Keramik, Ocheretyne, Lastochkyne, Karlivka, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region, were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Maryinka direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelled ten enemy attacks in the vicinity of Maryinka in the Donetsk region over the course of the day. The enemy carried out aerial strikes near Maryinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. Approximately 10 populated areas, including Oleksandropil, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, Pobieda, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the occupiers conducted aerial strikes in the areas of Urozhaine and Staromykhailivka in the Donetsk region. Over 10 populated areas, including Vodiane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Blahodatne, Staromykhailivka, and Rivnopil in the Donetsk region, were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy made five attempts to regain lost ground in the vicinity of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region but did not succeed. Occupiers carried out aerial strikes near Novodarivka and Novodanylivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. More than 10 populated areas, including Novodarivka, Olhivske, Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriyivka, and Stepove in the Zaporizhzhia region, were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Kherson direction, the occupiers conducted an aerial strike in the vicinity of the populated area of Beryslav in the Kherson region. Enemy artillery and mortar fire affected Dudchany, Sadove, Inzhenerne, Antonivka, the regional center of the Kherson region, as well as Dmytrivka and Ochakiv in the Mykolaiv region.
Offensive by Ukrainian Armed Forces
The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation in the Melitopol direction and engage in offensive (assault) actions in the Bakhmut direction, inflicting casualties on the occupying forces in terms of personnel and equipment. They are also wearing down the enemy along the entire front line.
Enemy losses
During the day, the aircraft of the Defense Forces carried out 12 strikes on the areas of enemy personnel, weaponry, and military equipment concentrations and two strikes on the enemy's anti-aircraft missile systems.
The missile forces units targeted an enemy command point and two artillery systems.
