Ukrainian soldiers are advancing on two fronts in the Zaporizhzhia region, successfully repelling Russian offensives in the Kharkiv region, and have destroyed an enemy Solntsepyok ("Scorching sunlight") weapon system, according to the data from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Russian shellings

During the day, the enemy carried out 9 missile and 39 aviation strikes and conducted 35 artillery shelling attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas.

Unfortunately, there are casualties among the civilian population, including children. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged.

The probability of Russian terrorists launching missile and aviation strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

Frontline situation

During the day, there were about 30 armed clashes.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains unchanged, with no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups.

In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy launched aviation strikes in the regions of Stepne in the Sumy region and Udy in the Kharkiv region. They also carried out artillery and mortar shelling on more than 30 populated areas, including Senkivka, Turia, Bleshnia, Buchky in the Chernihiv region; Mefodivka, Sytne, Starikove, Mohrytsia, Stepok, Riasne in the Sumy region; Udy, Veterynarne, Staritsia, Vovchansk, Nesterne, and Budarky in the Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansk direction, our soldiers held their defense firmly and successfully repelled enemy attacks east of Berestove in the Kharkiv region and near Novoselivske in the Luhansk region. The enemy carried out an aviation strike in the area of Druzhelubivka in the Donetsk region. They also conducted artillery and mortar shelling on more than 10 populated areas, including Odradne, Kolodiazne, Kamianka, Fiholivka, Novomlynske, and Zapadne in the Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy launched aviation strikes north of Serebrianka and near Spivne in the Donetsk region. The populated areas of Nevske, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Torske, Verkhniokamianske, and Spivne in the Donetsk region were subjected to artillery shelling.

In the Bakhmut direction, more than 10 populated areas suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Rozdolivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Ivanivske, Predtechyne, and Bila Hora in the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy conducted aviation strikes in the regions of New York and Avdiivka. They continue to shell populated areas, including Berdychiv, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, and Karlivka in the Donetsk region.

In the Maryinka direction, the enemy carried out an aviation strike in the area of Krasnohorivka. The defense forces continue to contain the Russian forces' advance in the regions of Maryinka and Pisky. Several populated areas, including Maryinka, Pisky, Heorhiivka, and Hostre in the Donetsk region, were subjected to artillery shelling.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy conducted aviation strikes in the regions of Vuhledar, Blahodatne, and Staromykhailivka. They made unsuccessful attempts to regain lost positions in the region of Staromykhailivka. The populated areas of Vodiane, Vuhledar, and Blahodatne in the Donetsk region continue to be shelled.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy concentrates its main efforts on preventing further advancement of our troops. Occupants carried out aviation strikes in the regions of Malynivka and Mala Tokmacha in the Zaporizhzhia region. More than 35 populated areas, including Levadne, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Orikhiv, Stepove, and Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhia region; Dmytrivka and Ochakiv in the Mykolaiv region; Mykhailivka, Dudchany, Berislav, Lvove, Kherson, and Dniprovsk in the Kherson region, were subjected to artillery shelling.

Ukrainian troops continue their offensive operations in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions, consolidating their positions and delivering accurate artillery strikes on identified enemy targets. They are also conducting counter-battery actions.

Extraordinary events

Russian occupiers continue to use civilian infrastructure in temporarily occupied areas for military purposes. Around 100 Russian military personnel are located in the premises of a miners' clinic in Nyzhne Naholchyk in the Luhansk region, and over 100 occupiers are placed in educational institutions in Semikozivka, the Luhansk region.

Enemy losses

During the day, the defense forces conducted 7 strikes on areas of concentration of personnel, weaponry, and military equipment of the enemy, and 3 strikes on enemy anti-aircraft missile complexes.

Units of the missile forces and artillery struck 2 enemy anti-aircraft missile complexes, the heavy flamethrower system TOS-1A Solntsepyok, an artillery unit in a firing position, and 4 areas of concentration of enemy personnel.

It is worth mentioning that the total number of losses in the Russian army since the invasion began stands at 246,190 military personnel.
