Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of January 24

As of 4 PM on January 24, the frontlines faced 61 combat engagements, with the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole directions remaining the most active, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Russian artillery targeted civilian communities in the Kliusy, Hremiach, Khrinivka, and Karpovychi settlements of the Chernihiv region, and in the Kucherivka, Ryzhivka, Rohizne, Iskryskivshchyna, Havrylova Sloboda, Zarichne, Budky, and Sosnivka settlements of the Sumy region.
Frontline situation
Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions: The Russian army carried out one airstrike with three guided bombs and 51 shelling attacks, including two from multiple launch rocket systems.
Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction: Four enemy assaults reported near the settlements of Starytsia, Vovchanski Khutory, and toward the settlements of Kruhle and Chuhunivka, with one clash ongoing.
Kupiansk direction: Russian forces attacked toward the Pishchane settlement.
Lyman direction: Russian troops attacked six times near the Drobysheve, Zarichne, Torske, and toward Druzheliubivka settlements, with two clashes ongoing.
Sloviansk direction: Ukrainian defenders were repelling attacks near the Zvanivka settlement, with this fighting ongoing.
Kramatorsk direction: Ukrainian forces repelled one enemy assault near the Orikhovo-Vasylivka settlement.
Kostiantynivka direction: Eight enemy attacks were repelled near the Kostiantynivka, Kleban-Byk, Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka, and toward Novopavlivka settlements.
Pokrovsk direction: The Russian army carried out 27 attacks near the settlements of Rodynske, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiia, and toward the Dorozhnie, Shevchenko, Hryshyne, and Ivanivka settlements, with some clashes still ongoing.
Oleksandrivka direction: Three enemy assaults were repelled near the settlements of Zelenyi Hai and Zlahoda.
Huliaipole direction: Russian forces carried out 12 attacks near the settlements of Huliaipole and Myrne, and toward the settlements of Nove Zaporizhzhia, Dobropillia, Zelene, Varvarivka, and Zaliznychne. Russia launched airstrikes on the settlements of Zirnytsia, Liubytske, Vozdvyzhivka, Zaliznychne, and Verkhnia Tersa.
Orikhiv direction: Ukrainian defense forces repelled the attack near the Plavni settlement.
Prydniprovskyi direction: Russian troops undertook an attack near the Antonivskyi Bridge.
Russia's losses in Ukraine
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost approximately 1,233,020 troops, including 930 killed in the past 24 hours.
