Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of January 15

Over the past day, January 14, 132 combat engagements took place along the front line. Russian forces are actively conducting assault operations in several directions, with the highest intensity in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
According to the General Staff, yesterday, Russian forces carried out 63 airstrikes and dropped 154 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they used 8,087 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,999 shellings of the positions of our troops and populated areas, including 41 from multiple launch rocket systems.
Airstrikes hit the areas of the settlements of Havrylivka in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast; Staroukrainka, Rizdvianka, Dolynka, Barvinivka, Liubytske, Zaliznychne, and Tavriiske in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
Over the past day, aviation as well as missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces struck two areas of concentration of enemy personnel and six enemy artillery systems.
Situation by directions
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions over the past day, Ukrainian warriors repelled one Russian attack. The enemy carried out one airstrike, dropping two aerial bombs, and conducted 111 shellings, including three from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian troops stopped 14 enemy attacks in the areas of Vovchansk and Zelene and toward the settlements of Hrafske, Vovchanski Khutory, and Kruhle.
In the Kupiansk direction, three enemy attacks took place yesterday toward Petropavlivka, Pishchane, and Borova.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 12 times, attempting to break into our defenses in the settlements of Zarichne, Karpivka, Novoselivka, and Torske, and toward the settlements of Stavky, Drobysheve, and Dibrova.
In the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled six enemy attacks in the areas of Fedorivka, Sviato-Pokrovske, and Zakytne.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 15 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Shcherbynivka, and toward Sofiivka, Novopavlivka, and Torske.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 25 enemy assault actions in the areas of the settlements of Nove Shakhove, Nykanorivka, Myrnohrad, Kotlyne, Udachne, and Filiia, as well as in the direction of the settlements of Dorozhnie, Rodynske, Hryshyne, and Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy carried out 11 attacks yesterday near the settlements of Sichneve and Zlahoda and toward Ivanivka and Nove Zaporizhzhia.
In the Huliaipole direction, the Defense Forces repelled 20 Russian attacks in the area of Huliaipole and toward Dobropillia, Zelene, and Sviatopetrivka.
In the Orikhiv direction over the past day, Ukrainian warriors repelled two enemy attacks in the area of Prymorske and toward Pavlivka.
In the Prydniprovske direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groupings were detected.
Russia's losses in the war
According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost approximately 1,223,090 military personnel.
In particular, over the past day, Russia has suffered 1,150 personnel losses.
Ukrainian warriors also neutralized seven tanks, two armored combat vehicles, 84 artillery systems, eight multiple launch rocket systems, two air defense systems, 929 operational-tactical level unmanned aerial vehicles, and 187 units of automotive equipment.
