Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of January 14

Overall, over the past day, 141 combat engagements were recorded along the entire front line, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
According to the General Staff, yesterday, Russian forces carried out 4 missile strikes and 42 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, using 25 missiles and dropping 78 guided aerial bombs.
In addition, 7,967 kamikaze drones were employed, and 3,768 shellings of Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas were carried out, including 74 using multiple launch rocket systems.
The aggressor conducted air strikes, in particular on the areas of the following settlements:
- Voloska Bakaliia in the Kharkiv region;
- Malomykhailivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region;
- Zaliznychne, Rizdvianka, Dolynka, and Komyshuvakha in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Situation on the fronts
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out 129 shellings, including 12 with multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian troops repelled six enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Zelene, Buhruvatka, Prylipka, and Dehtiarne.
In the Kupiansk direction, four Russian attacks occurred yesterday. Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy assaults on Petropavlivka and Pishchane.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 11 times, attempting to break into our defenses in the settlements of Kolodiazi, Novoiehorivka, Zarichne, and Novoselivka, and toward the settlements of Dibrova, Lypove, and Stavky.
In the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled three enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Dronivka and Fedorivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled two attacks in the area of Stupochky and toward Pryvillia.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 13 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Berestok, Yablunivka, and toward Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 39 aggressor assault actions in the areas of the settlements of Shakhove, Fedorivka, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, and toward Filiia and Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy carried out eight attacks yesterday near the settlements of Zelenyi Hai, Rybne, Yehorivka, and Solodke.
In the Huliaipole direction, the Defense Forces repelled 26 Russian attacks in the area of Huliaipole, toward Dobropillia, and toward Varvarivka.
In the Orikhiv direction, no enemy offensive actions were recorded over the past day.
In the Prydniprovske direction, Russian forces made one unsuccessful attempt to advance near the Antonivka Road Bridge.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groupings were detected.
Enemy losses
Aircraft, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck two command posts, eight areas of concentration of enemy personnel and equipment, four artillery systems, and two UAV control points.
Overall, over the past day, the Russian forces lost 990 personnel.
Ukrainian warriors also destroyed six tanks, three armored combat vehicles, 74 artillery systems, three multiple launch rocket systems, five air defense systems, eight missiles, 1,074 operational-tactical level unmanned aerial vehicles, and 232 units of enemy automotive equipment.
