The Defense Forces on December 24 repelled dozens of attacks by Russian invaders across all directions of the front. The enemy actively used aviation, missiles, and numerous kamikaze drones, according to the summary from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As of 10:00 PM Kyiv time on December 24, 2025, the Defense Forces of Ukraine focused their efforts on thwarting the offensive plans of the Russian troops and depleting their combat capabilities. In total, 130 clashes have occurred since the beginning of the day.
The enemy carried out 1 missile strike and 52 airstrikes, used 3 missiles and 118 guided aerial bombs, and also conducted 3,274 kamikaze drone attacks and 3,015 shellings of settlements and Ukrainian military positions.
Situation across different directions:
Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk: 2 attacks, 3 airstrikes, 124 shellings, including 4 from MLRS.
Southern-Slobozhanskyi: 9 attacks repelled in the areas of Prylipky, Vovchanski Khutory, Dvorichanske, and near Izbytske, Hryhorivka, and Kolodiazne.
Kupiansk: 5 attacks repelled.
Lyman: 5 attacks repelled, with one clash still ongoing.
Sloviansk: 4 enemy attempts stopped.
Kramatorsk: no offensive actions.
Kostiantynivka: 14 attacks, all repelled.
Pokrovsk: 28 attacks; Ukrainian forces eliminated 56 soldiers, wounded 21, destroyed a command post, artillery, 36 drones, special equipment, and vehicles, and significantly damaged several other targets.
Oleksandrivka: 12 attacks repelled.
Huliaipole: 19 attacks repelled, one engagement ongoing; airstrikes hit Zaliznychne, Ternuvate, Vozdvizhivka, and Luhivske.
Orikhiv: no offensive actions, but airstrikes were recorded.
Prydniprovskyi: 3 attacks ended without success for the Russian forces.
In recent weeks, Russian forces have intensified the use of kamikaze drones and airstrikes to break through Ukrainian defenses. Previous days saw active assaults in the east and south, but thanks to the coordinated actions of Ukrainian units, the enemy failed to achieve strategic objectives.
Russian losses in the war in Ukraine
In the Kursk direction, the border guards of the Stalevyi kordon brigade delivered precise strikes on the enemy. This slowed down the enemy’s offensive actions and strengthened the region’s defense.
Ukrainian Armed Forces aviation also carried out a series of strikes on the positions of Russian drone operators in the Donetsk region, specifically in the areas of Siversk and Pokrovsk.
According to the military, the Ukrainian Air Force hit a building near Siversk from which enemy drone operators were operating.
It was also reported that as of December 24, Russian losses since the beginning of the full-scale invasion have exceeded 1.2 million personnel.
