During the 24 hours from December 7 to 8, 164 combat engagements were recorded along the frontline. Russian forces are conducting assaults in 11 directions, with the Pokrovsk sector seeing the heaviest fighting, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the General Staff, yesterday the Russians carried out two missile strikes and 67 airstrikes, used six missiles and dropped 182 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they conducted 4,180 attacks, including 85 using multiple-launch rocket systems, and employed 6,568 loitering munitions.

Areas that came under airstrikes included, in particular, the vicinity of the settlements of Yuriieve in the Sumy region; Podoly in the Kharkiv region; and Orikhiv in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Over the past day, the Defense Forces' aviation struck five areas where enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment were concentrated.

In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out six airstrikes, dropping a total of 17 guided aerial bombs, and conducted 168 attacks, including three with multiple-launch rocket systems.

In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian forces stopped four enemy attacks in the area of Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk direction, two enemy attacks took place yesterday. Our defenders repelled the enemy's assault on Pishchane.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 16 times, attempting to break through our defenses near the settlements of Hrekivka, Serednie, Derylove, Zarichne, and Myrne, and toward Oleksandrivka, Stavky, and Torske.

In the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled six enemy attacks near Yampil, Dronivka, and Serebrianka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, one combat engagement took place in the area of Chasiv Yar.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 18 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Kleban-Byk, and Yablunivka, and toward the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Rusyn Yar, Novopavlivka, and Sofiivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 53 assault actions by the aggressor toward Novo Shakhove, Novyi Donbas, Bilytske, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Myrnohrad, Molodetske, and Novopavlivka, and in the areas of the settlements of Shakhove, Novoekonomichne, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Dachne, and Filiia.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy carried out 14 attacks yesterday in the areas of the settlements of Yalta, Sosnivka, Verbove, Vorone, Zlahoda, Krasnohirske, Pryvilne, Solodke, and toward Vyshneve.

In the Huliaipole direction, the Defense Forces repelled 20 Russian attacks in the settlements of Rybne, Radisne, Varvarivka, Dobropillia, Zelene, and Huliaipole.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy made two attempts to break through our defenses toward Novoandriivka and Prymorske.

In the Prydniprovske direction, the enemy once unsuccessfully attempted to break through our defenses near the Antonivka Road Bridge.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of enemy offensive group formation have been detected.

Russian losses in the war

According to the General Staff, Russia's overall losses over the past day totaled 810 personnel.

Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed two tanks, an armored fighting vehicle, 10 artillery systems, 530 operational-tactical UAVs, four missiles, 47 units of motor vehicles, and three units of special equipment belonging to the occupiers.
