As of 4:00 PM Kyiv time on November 29, 157 combat engagements have occurred on the front since the start of the day, with the highest number of clashes recorded in the Pokrovsk direction, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian shelling

In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the Russian army carried out four airstrikes since the start of the day, dropping six guided bombs, and conducted 60 artillery strikes on Ukrainian positions and populated areas, including three using multiple launch rocket systems.

Frontline situation

In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian forces' positions six times near Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Kolodiazne, and toward Kutkivka, with two engagements still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven Russian attacks near Pishchane, Kolisnykivka, Novoplatonivka, and toward Nova Kruhliakivka, Hlushkivka, and Petropavlivka, while one engagement continues.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces launched 17 attacks near Novoyehorivka, Kopanki, Novovodiane, Serednie, Karpivka, Derylove, Novoselivka, Kolodiazi, Zarichne, and toward Stepove, with 11 engagements ongoing.

In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled five of seven enemy attempts to advance near Yampil and Serebrianka, with fighting continuing.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Defense Forces stopped four Russian attacks near Chasiv Yar, Novomarkove, and Vasiukivka.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, the Russian army attacked positions near Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Yablunivka, Rusyn Yar, and toward Sofiivka. Ukrainian forces successfully repelled 14 attacks, with two engagements still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy attacked positions 56 times near Volodymyrivka, Maiak, Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Novoekonomichne, Pokrovsk, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novoserhiivka, and Filiia, with ten engagements ongoing.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 24 Russian attacks near Zelenyi Hai, Tovste, Sosnivka, Oleksandrohrad, Sichneve, Vyshneve, Pryvillia, and Rybne, with three engagements continuing.

In the Huliaipole direction, ten combat engagements were recorded as the enemy advanced near Pryvilne, Solodke, and toward Huliaipole.

In the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces conducted seven offensive actions near Stepnohirsk, Stepove, and toward Mala Tokmachka and Novoandriivka.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, no engagements have been recorded so far.

Russian army losses and Ukraine's new defense plan

Russian forces continue to lose personnel and equipment. From November 28 to 29 alone, the enemy lost 910 soldiers in battles against Ukraine. The Armed Forces of Ukraine also destroyed three artillery systems, 64 vehicles, and 106 drones.

Additionally, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal to prepare a new national defense plan, taking into account the current course of combat operations and updated priorities.
