Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of September 15

Since the beginning of the day, 187 combat clashes have taken place at the front. Ukraine's Armed Forces continue to repel the enemy’s attempts to push deeper into our territory, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Air strikes
Russian invaders carried out one missile strike and 59 airstrikes, using two missiles and dropping 72 guided bombs. In addition, they launched 1,977 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,416 shelling attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas.
The Russian army also carried out three missile strikes and 79 airstrikes on Ukrainian units and settlements. Russian forces fired 4,945 times, including 117 times with multiple rocket launchers. The enemy also launched more than 6,000 drones.
The aggressor carried out airstrikes in particular on areas near the settlements of Bilohirya and Zaliznychne in the Zaporizhzhia region, and Olhivka in the Kherson region.
Ukraine's response
Over the past day, the Air Force, missile troops, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck two areas where Russian personnel were concentrated and destroyed two artillery systems.
Enemy losses in the past 24 hours amount to 910 personnel. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed two Russian armored combat vehicles, 35 artillery systems, one multiple rocket launcher, 323 operational-tactical UAVs, 84 vehicles, and one piece of specialized equipment.
Situation at frontlines
Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions – 11 clashes. The enemy carried out two missile and 15 airstrikes, used five missiles, dropped 28 guided bombs, and conducted 193 shelling attacks, including three with multiple rocket launchers.
Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction – 10 battles took place near Vovchansk and toward Odradne settlements.
Kupiansk direction – nine enemy attacks. The Defense Forces repelled assaults near Nova Kruhlyakivka, Radkivka, Kindrashivka, Kupiansk, and Stepova Novoselivka villages.
Lyman direction – 19 attacks. The enemy attempted to advance toward Stavky and near Shandryholove, Derylove, Kolodyazi, Drobysheve, and Torske settlements.
Siversk direction – 25 enemy attacks repelled. Russian units tried to advance near Serebrianka, Hryhorivka, Dronivka, Vyimka, and Fedorivka villages.
Kramatorsk direction – nine clashes near Stupochky, Chasiv Yar, and Oleksandro-Shultyne.
Toretsk direction – 14 attacks near Pleshchiivka, Katerynivka, Oleksandro-Kalynove, Poltavka, Shcherbynivka, Sofiivka, and Stepanivka.
Pokrovsk direction – Ukrainian defenders stopped 58 enemy assaults and offensive actions near Fedorivka, Nikanorivka, Myrnohrad, Rodynske, Sukhetske, Promin, Lysivka, Udachne, Novopidhorodne, Shakhove, Vilne, Zvirove, Molodetske, Novoukrainka, Filiia, Dachne, Novoivanivka, and toward Novopavlivka.
Novopavlivka direction – 21 enemy attacks repelled near Ivanivka, Yalta, Voskresenka, Novoivanivka, Maliivka, Tolstoi, Oleksandrohrad, Ternove, Berezove, Temyrivka, Komyshuvakha, and Olhivske.
Huliaipole direction – one enemy attack repelled near Poltavka.
Orikhiv direction – the enemy attempted two assaults near Novoandriivka and Stepnohirsk.
Prydniprovskyi direction – Ukrainian defenders repelled five enemy assaults.
Yesterday, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that the Ukrainian army achieved good results in the Sumy region and that Russian forces are suffering significant losses in the Kharkiv region.
Recently, Zelenskyy also stated that Ukraine's Armed Forces foiled a Russian offensive operation on Sumy, which resulted in heavy enemy losses.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russian military losses have nearly reached 1.1 million personnel.
