Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of August 31

In the past 24 hours, 182 clashes were recorded. The most active directions remain Pokrovsk, Lyman, and Novopavlivsk, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Yesterday, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile troops, and artillery struck two areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, one command post, and two enemy ammunition depots.
Situation on the directions
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled 14 Russian attacks. In the past day, the enemy carried out 17 airstrikes, dropping a total of 43 guided aerial bombs and conducting 194 artillery shellings, including 2 from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 11 enemy attacks in the areas of Vovchansk, Hlyboke, Kamianka, and toward Novovasylivka.
In the Kupiansk direction, nine enemy attacks were repelled yesterday in the areas of Petropavlivka and Kupiansk.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked thirty times, attempting to break through Ukrainian defenses near Novyi Myr, Kolodiazi, Dibrova, Hrekivka, Karpivka, and toward Druzheliubivka, Shandryholove, and Dronivka.
In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian soldiers successfully stopped seven enemy attacks near Serebrianka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers attacked seven times in the area of Stupochok and toward Podilskyi.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out ten attacks in the areas of Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, Katerynivka, and Poltavka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled fifty enemy assaults in the areas of Shakhove, Sukhetske, Nykonorivka, Volodymyrivka, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Chervonyi Lyman, Promin, Lysivka, Zvirove, Rodynske, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novoukrainka, and toward Pokrovsk and Zolotyi Kolodiaz.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy carried out 26 attacks yesterday in the areas of Oleksandrorad, Maliivka, Shevchenko, Zelene Pole, Filliya, Yalta, and toward Novoselivka and Komyshuvakha.
In the Orikhiv direction, the occupiers attempted five attacks in the area of Kamianske.
In the Huliaipil and Prydniprovskyi directions, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.
It is worth recalling that recently the Ukrainian Defense Forces liberated the village of Myrne near Kupiansk in Kharkiv region. This was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Operational Command Dnipro, Viktor Trehubov, in a comment to RBC-Ukraine.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost 1,082,140 soldiers. Over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated 810 Russians.
