Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of May 26

Since the beginning of the day, the total number of combat clashes along the entire frontline amounts to 102, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Russian troops are striking areas in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions. The settlements of Zaliznyi Mist, Pokrovka, Bila Hora, Kucherivka, Bobylivka, Oleksandrivka, Zarichne, Velyka Pysarivka, Prohres, Bachivsk, and Myropilske have come under artillery fire; enemy air strikes targeted the areas of Osoivka and Uhroidy.
Situation on the fronts
Ukrainian soldiers repelled one attack near Vovchansk in the Kharkiv direction; another battle is currently ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy tried four times to advance on Ukrainian positions near Zahryzove and towards Petropavlivka. The fighting continues.
In the Lyman direction, the aggressor launched ten attacks today near the settlements of Hrekivka, Novomykhailivka, Ridkodub, Yampolivka, and Torske. Four clashes are ongoing at the moment.
In the Siversk direction, our units repelled an enemy advance near Bilohorivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Defense Forces are repelling two enemy attempts to advance near Chasiv Yar and Orikhovo-Vasylivka.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked our troops' positions seven times near Ozarianivka, Toretsk, and Shcherbynivka. Two clashes are still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy attacked our defenders’ positions 45 times today near the settlements of Zoria, Oleksandropil, Malynivka, Yelyzavetivka, Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Kotliarivka, Troitske, and Andriivka. Ten clashes continue to this moment. The settlement of Novotoretske came under strikes by Russian KABs (guided aerial bombs).
In the Novopavlivka direction, our defenders repel enemy attacks near Kostantynopil, Bahatyr, Odradne, Zelene Pole, Novosilka, Novopil, and Vilne Pole. Ten out of fourteen enemy offensive actions have been repelled; the fighting continues.
In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy struck Malynivka and Zaliznychne with unguided rockets.
In the Orikhiv direction, the Defense Forces successfully stopped three enemy attacks. The enemy tried to advance near Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove, and in the direction of Novoandriivka.
The enemy had one unsuccessful attempt to advance in the Prydniprovskyi direction. Odradokamianka suffered an airstrike.
In the Kursk direction today, 13 combat clashes occurred, three of which are ongoing. Additionally, the enemy launched six airstrikes, dropping nine KAB bombs, and carried out 116 artillery shellings of our troops’ positions and settlements.
Russian losses in the war
Over the past day, Russian forces' losses amounted to 1,000 personnel.
Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed four tanks, eight armored combat vehicles, 51 artillery systems, one multiple rocket launcher, two air defense systems, 264 tactical-operational level drones, 53 missiles, and 92 units of enemy automotive equipment.
