The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that Russian forces continue to assault Ukrainian positions in the east and south. The heaviest number of attacks today occurred in the Pokrovsk direction.

Since May 10, and as of 10:00 PM Kyiv time, there have been 117 combat engagements on the front. Russian forces continue to actively assault positions in the Pokrovsk direction.

"The Defense Forces are focused on disrupting the Russian forces' offensive plans and exhausting their combat potential," stated the General Staff.

Military officials reported that, since the start of the day, the enemy launched 36 airstrikes, dropping 51 guided bombs, conducted 891 drone strikes, and carried out 2,943 artillery bombardments on Ukrainian positions.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv direction, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled three enemy attacks near Vovchansk, Mala Shapkivka, and Kamianka.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attempted to attack Ukrainian fortifications near Zahryzove, but the assault was unsuccessful.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces launched six assaults on Ukrainian positions, focusing on the villages of Chernechchyna, Olhivka, Ridkodub, Nove, and Zelena Dolyna. Three engagements are still ongoing.

In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled two enemy attacks today. The enemy attempted to advance toward Hryhorivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled seven enemy attacks near Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Chasiv Yar, and towards Bila Hora, Maiske, and Predtechyne. One engagement is still ongoing.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces launched seven assaults on Ukrainian positions today, targeting the areas of Druzba, Toretsk, and near Diliivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy launched 38 assaults, with the heaviest activity near the villages of Myrolyubivka, Kotlyarivka, Myrne, and Zorya. There was also significant fighting near Malynivka, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Dachenske, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Novoserhiivka, Udachne, Novooleksandrivka, Preobrazhenka, and Andriivka. Three engagements are still ongoing.

Preliminary reports suggest that, in this direction, Ukrainian forces:

  • Eliminated 69 enemy soldiers;
  • Wounded 32 enemy soldiers;
  • Destroyed a vehicle and three reconnaissance UAVs;
  • Significantly damaged one self-propelled artillery unit;

In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy made 13 attempts to break through near the villages of Kostiantynopil, Vilne Pole, Pryvilne, and in the direction of Bahatyr, Shevchenka, and Novopil.

In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 enemy attacks near Novopil and Novosilky. Two more attacks are still ongoing. Meanwhile, the villages of Malynivka and Zaliznychne were hit by airstrikes.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy launched two attacks today near Stepove and Novodanilivka, but both were unsuccessful.

In the Prydniprovskyi ​​​​​​direction, the enemy launched three failed attacks on Ukrainian defenders' positions.

In Russia's Kursk region, since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled 19 enemy attacks, with two engagements still ongoing.

In other directions, there were no significant changes in the situation.

At the same time, the General Staff today honored the following troops:

  • The 406th Separate Artillery Brigade, named after Corporal General Oleksiy Almazov;
  • The 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade Magura has been steadfastly holding back the enemy's advance.

The enemy's losses

Over the past 24 hours, from May 9 to May 10, Russian forces lost 1,300 soldiers in the war against Ukraine.

Additionally, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 49 artillery systems, 36 drones, and 106 enemy vehicles.
