Since the start of the day on April 28, there have been 133 combat engagements on the front. The most intense fighting has been recorded in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition, Russian forces launched 80 airstrikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements, deploying 112 guided aerial bombs, 1,103 kamikaze drone strikes, and 4,296 artillery attacks.

On the Kharkiv direction, eight Russian assault attempts were recorded near Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Zapadne, and Mala Shapkivka. Two clashes are still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces launched six attacks in an attempt to dislodge Ukrainian units from positions near Zahryzove, Kindrashivka, Petropavlivka, and Nova Kruhliakivka. Two battles are ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops launched 16 attacks, trying to advance near Katerynivka, Nove, Kolodiazi, and in the direction of Lypove, Zelena Dolyna, and Novyi Myr. Seven battles are still underway.

In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled three assaults near Ivano-Darivka and toward Hryhorivka and Verkhniokamianske. Three battles continue.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the Defense Forces stopped seven Russian forces attempts to advance near Markove, Chasiv Yar, and Bila Hora. Two clashes are still ongoing.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces tried 13 times to break through Ukrainian defenses near Toretsk, Druzhba, and toward Dyliivka and Dachne. Four battles are currently ongoing.

Throughout the day in the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces launched 52 assault and offensive actions near Sukha Balka, Yelyzavetivka, Sukhyi Yar, Malynivka, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novosergiivka, Novooleksandrivka, Nadiivka, Troitske, Kotliarivka, Sribne, Andriivka, and toward Pokrovsk, Stara Mykolaivka, Oleksandropil, Novopavlivka, and Bohdanivka. Fifteen battles are still ongoing.

Airstrikes targeted Popiv, Volodymyrivka, Poltavka, Nova Poltavka, Malynivka, Kozatske, Hrodivka, Novoeconomichne, Myrnohrad, Lysivka, Sukhyi Yar, Pokrovsk, and Zvyrove.

Preliminary reports indicate that Ukrainian forces have neutralized 124 Russian forces personnel in the Pokrovsk direction today, 63 of them irreversibly. Additionally, four vehicles, one motorcycle, and three drones were destroyed.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 21 Russian force attacks near Pryvilne, Kostiantynopil, Vilne Pole, and toward Odradne, Bahatyr, and Shevchenka. Russian forces also carried out airstrikes on Zelene Pole, Novopil, Piddubne, and Novodarivka.

In the Huliaipole direction, an airstrike hit the settlement of Huliaipole.

In the Orikhiv direction, four combat clashes occurred as Russian forces attempted to advance near Shcherbaky, Stepove, and Lobkove.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, five clashes were reported, with Russian forces conducting an airstrike near Olhivka.

On the Kursk direction, 14 combat clashes took place. Over the course of the day, Russian forces carried out 228 artillery strikes - one involving a multiple launch rocket system - and launched 12 airstrikes, dropping 18 guided bombs.

Russia's losses in war

According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost over 949,000 military personnel.

In particular, over the past day, the Russian army’s losses amounted to 1,160 soldiers. Ukrainian fighters also destroyed 4 tanks, 13 armored combat vehicles, 31 artillery systems, and other equipment yesterday.
