Over the past 24 hours, from April 27 to April 28, Russia's army has lost 1,160 soldiers and more than 100 vehicles on the front lines, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to April 28, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 949,800 (+1,160) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • tanks - 10,723 (+4);
  • troop-carrying AFVs - 22,338 (+13);
  • artillery systems - 27,038 (+31);
  • MLRS - 1,373 (+1);
  • anti-aircraft systems - 1,145;
  • aircraft - 370;
  • helicopters - 335;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 34,083 (+72);
  • cruise missiles - 3,196;
  • warships/boats - 28;
  • submarines - 1;
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 46,292 (+105);
  • special equipment - 3,860.

Russia's airstrikes

Russia continues to shell Ukrainian settlements with kamikaze drones, rockets, and guided bombs.

On Sunday, April 27, the Russian forces attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region with drones. Nikopol, Pokrovsk, and Marhanets communities were affected.

Additionally, Russia launched an attack on Zhytomyr using strike drones. Buildings and household structures in the city were damaged, and large fires broke out.

Russian drones also targeted the area near the railway station in Sloviansk, Donetsk region.

On Sunday afternoon, Russia carried out multiple strikes with guided bombs on Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region, resulting in casualties.
