Since the start of March 5, Ukrainian forces have engaged in 96 combat clashes along the front line, with the heaviest Russian activity reported near Toretsk and in Russia’s Kursk region, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces launched two attacks toward Petro-Ivanivka and near Vovchansk, with one battle still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian troops attempted three advances toward Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Holubivka and Zahryzove throughout the day.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces launched ten attacks near Novomykhailivka and Nove. Ukrainian troops repelled seven assaults, while three battles are still ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled eight enemy attacks near Chasiv Yar, Oleksandro-Shultyne, and Predtechyne, with one engagement still underway.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian troops carried out 19 assaults on Ukrainian positions near Toretsk, Dachne, and Dyliivka, with one battle still ongoing.

Since the start of the day, Russian forces have attempted 16 times to breach Ukrainian defenses in the Pokrovsk direction near Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Pishchane, Kotlyne, Bohdanivka, Kotlyarivka, and Andriivka. Two battles are still ongoing.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian troops repelled six attacks by Russian forces near Kostiantynopil and Burlatske, with one engagement still underway.

In the Huliaipole direction, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions near Vilne Pole.

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled four assaults toward Kamyanske, Pavlivka, and Lobkove. The area around Pyatykhatky was hit by airstrikes.

In the Kursk direction, 27 combat engagements have taken place today.

Russia's losses in the war

According to the General Staff, Russia has lost more than 880,000 personnel since the start of its full-scale invasion.

In the past 24 hours alone, Russian forces suffered 1,250 casualties. Ukrainian defense forces also destroyed one tank, six armored fighting vehicles, 23 artillery systems, 108 drones, and other enemy equipment.
