Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of February 24

Since the beginning of the day on February 24, a total of 69 combat engagements have taken place on the front line. The enemy is most active in the Pokrovsk direction, where it has already launched 20 attacks on Ukrainian positions, according to the Facebook page of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Kharkiv direction, Ukrainian defenders are repelling an enemy assault near Vovchansk.
The enemy carried out nine assault actions near Petropavlivka and Zahryzove in the Kupiansk direction. Six combat engagements are ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, the occupying forces launched four attacks near the settlements of Zelena Dolyna, Borivska Andriivka, and Novoliubivka.
The Defense Forces are repelling a Russian attack near Stupochky in the Kramatorsk direction.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked seven times near Toretsk and Krymske. Three attacks are still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupying forces have made 20 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Vodyane Druhe, Promin, Pokrovsk, Leontovychi, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Nadiivka, Troitske, Andriivka, and Ulakly. The Defense Forces are holding back the enemy’s advance and have repelled 17 attacks, with three combat engagements still underway. Enemy losses are being clarified.
Today, in the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy launched ten attacks near Konstiantynopil and Burlatske, with one combat engagement still ongoing.
In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled one attack near Novopil.
Supported by assault aviation, the enemy attacked the settlement of Kamianske in the Orikhiv direction.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian forces repelled two enemy attacks toward the settlement of Sadove.
In the Siversk direction, the enemy has not conducted active operations today.
In the operational zone in the Kursk region, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled seven Russian attacks throughout the day, with one combat engagement still ongoing. The enemy carried out over 220 shelling attacks, including 12 with multiple launch rocket systems, conducted 16 airstrikes, and dropped 21 guided bombs.
Russian losses in the war
According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost over 868,000 personnel.
In the past day alone, Russian army losses amounted to 1,050 soldiers. Additionally, the Defense Forces destroyed 9 tanks, 6 armored fighting vehicles, 44 artillery systems, and other enemy equipment.
