Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of January 13

Since the beginning of the day, Russian forces have attacked Ukrainian military positions 94 times. The enemy is most active in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy has attacked Ukrainian positions 94 times since the beginning of the day. The most intense fighting is taking place in the Pokrovsk direction.
The enemy carried out two attacks on our positions in the Kupiansk direction near the settlements of Lozova and Dvorichna, with both clashes still ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, enemy units continue to attack in the areas of Novoserhiivka, Zelenyi Hai, Pershotravneve, Makiivka, Zarichne, and Terny. Since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian forces have repelled nine enemy attacks in this direction, and one clash is still ongoing.
Our defenders have repelled three enemy assaults in the area of Bilohorivka in the Siversk direction.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russian army attacked 11 times in the areas of Chasiv Yar and Stupochky, with five clashes still ongoing.
So far today, there have been 12 enemy attacks in the Toretsk direction. The enemy attacked in the areas of Bila Hora, Krymske, and Toretsk. Our defenders are giving a strong response, and one clash is still ongoing.
The hottest fighting today is in the Pokrovsk direction. Since the beginning of the day, the Russian forces have carried out 40 attacks on our positions in the areas of Barynivka, Zelene Pole, Yelyzavetivka, Tarasivka, Nova Poltava, Novotoretske, Lysivka, Myrnohrad, Zelene, Novyi Trud, Pokrovsk, Shevchenko, Udachne, Novovasyliivka, Uspenivka, Petropavlivka, Novoandriivka, Sloviansk, Sribne, Kurakhove, and Yantarne.
The Defense Forces have repelled 26 enemy attacks, and 14 clashes are still ongoing.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions five times near the settlements of Rozlyv, Vremivka, and Neskuchne, and ten clashes are ongoing.
No active enemy actions have been reported in the Kharkiv, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, and Prydniprovskyi directions.
In the Kursk region, our defenders have repelled ten enemy attacks today. Additionally, the enemy launched two air strikes, dropping two guided bombs, and carried out 215 artillery shellings.
Russian losses in the war
According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the full-scale war against Ukraine, Russia has lost more than 809,000 soldiers.
In particular, over the past day, Ukrainian forces eliminated 1,510 Russian soldiers. Additionally, yesterday, Ukrainian defenders destroyed:
- 8 tanks,
- 26 armored combat vehicles,
- 37 artillery systems,
- and other enemy equipment.
